–Samson, Unwind |
Samson Ward was an unwound ward of the state.
History[]
At the State Home in Ohio where he was assigned to, Samson was ironically named—whereas Samson usually depicts strength, he was a sickly-looking child.
Samson was very good at math. Samson admired fellow ward Risa from afar and harbored a crush on her;[1] in fact, Samson had a tendency of liking girls he deemed unattainable.[2] They first officially met on the bus on the way to the harvest camp, after the StaHo included both of them in the ten percent that would be cut from the program for budget cuts. When he overheard Risa lying about going to a prestigious school to a boeuf, who had been on the bus on his way to military school, flirting with her, he revealed to the boeuf that she was an Unwind. He later told her that he was in fact quite pleased that he was about to be unwound, feeling worthless and as if he wasn't going to amount to anything. Unwilling to feel sorry for herself but seeing his point, Risa got pissed and moved away.[3]
A part of Samson's brain was one of the unwound parts that were rewound in Camus Comprix, handpicked by Roberta Griswold for his math skills. Along with this came Samson's crush on Risa—which triggered Cam's instant interest in her.[1]
Physical description[]
He was described as a scrawny, pale boy.
